Backward Classes Welfare Department established a new Society in the name of MAHATMA JYOTIBA PHULE ANDHRA PRADESH BACKWARD CLASSES WELFARE RESIDENTIAL EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS SOCIETY (MJPAPBCWREIS) in the year 2012 with a view to bring the Backward Classes educationally on par with other developed communities and to achieve a just and egalitarian Society.
At present, 32 BC Residential Schools are functioning in the State of Andhra Pradesh, of which 17 are meant for Boys and 15 for Girls. Out of 32 schools, 4 Institutions located at Amalapuram (East Godavari), Mopidevi (Krishna), Satyavedu (Chittoor), and Golagamudi (SPSR Nellore) are meant for the children belonging to fishermen community. Three new schools in Ananthapuramu district and 6 schools for fishermen children and also 2 junior colleges will start functioning from 2017-18.
The inauguration of a new website for MJPAPBCWREIS is an endeavour to promote accuracy and efficiency in the administration of MJPAPBCWREIS institutions
The website will serve the needs of the general public for their information and offer a platform for integrating the various applications in MJPAPBCWREIS institutions into one portal, for the departmental personnel. For MJPAPBCWREIS it is a step towards accesibility, accountability and transparency.
All Eligible BC Students are Provided an opportunity to Pursue their Education up to the School level in BC Residential Schools, thus Providing Education Security. All the BC Residential Schools are transformed into Centers of Excellence with adequate infrastructure and allied facilities.
